Project Details
Sprout sprung from a relationship with Slate Pharmaceuticals when they were in the historic American Tobacco Complex in Durham. As the company grew and planned a moved to North Hills’s CapTrust Tower, they wanted to retain a similar “urban warehouse-like” feel in their new space for approximately 30 team members. We teamed with Slate/Sprout leadership and JDavis Architects to deliver a clean, diverse, and inspiring workspace which also achieved their desired industrial aesthetic. A central element of the space was a community table where the entire team would share lunch together on a daily basis. Michael Laut of Laut Design in Raleigh created a unique piece that perfectly fit the function and aesthetic of the space. When Slate was sold, their management team launched Sprout in this same location with very little change.
